On 17 May I join my friends at Gothenburg Opera for a special concert celebrating the 100^th anniversary of the great Birgit Nilsson. She paved the way for all of us Swedish singers, and so some of us sopranos and mezzos will gather together to say thank you. Over my career I have sung many of the same roles as Birgit, and we shall sing many of the arias that made La Nilsson famous, from Turandot to Elektra. And then, a special Walkürenritt to finish!

Tickets have all sold out, but the concert will be live on Swedish Radio and will be recorded for TV broadcast, so I hope many of you will be able to join me to pay tribute to her!
